FIREARMS
Per ATF requirements you must be the actual buyer to purchase a firearm. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase a long gun and at least 21 years of age to purchase a handgun, receiver, or other. You will also have to successfully complete an ATF Form 4473 before taking possession of the firearm. The actual buyer has to be the person that purchases from the website with their information and their funds. The buyer’s legal name must be used when making the online purchase. The actual buyer also has to be the person that completes the 4473 and picks up the firearm. If you chose not follow these guidelines, you will incur restocking fees per the policy below.
There will absolutely no exceptions!!!!!!!!!
Pursuant to ATF rule 2021R-08F which declares most, if not all, braced pistols as Short Barrel Rifles (SBR) subordinate to NFA requirements,
Bite The Bullet LLC will not longer accept transfers of ANY braced pistols.
Any braced pistols, including braced firearms that use shotgun ammunition with barrels less than 18 inches such as but not limited to the Mossberg Shockwave (not common birdshead version), received on transfer for customers as a result of third party purchases prior to the rule taking effect on January 13, 2023, and received in shipment at our shop after that date, will be surrendered to law enforcement per ATF requirements:
8. WHAT ARE THE COMPLIANCE OPTIONS FOR AN FFL/SOT HOLDER IN POSSESSION OF FIREARMS EQUIPPED WITH A “STABILIZING BRACE,” WHICH IS AN SBR, AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE FINAL RULE?
• For SBRs equipped with a “stabilizing brace” that are in their possession, complete and submit through the eForms system a Notice of Firearms Manufactured or Imported, ATF Form 2 within 120-days from the date of publication in the Federal Register.
• Permanently remove or alter the “stabilizing brace” so that it cannot be reattached and thereby removing it from regulation as a “firearm” under the NFA.
• Remove the short barrel and attach a 16-inch or longer rifled barrel to the firearm thus removing it from the provisions of the NFA.
• Turn the firearm into your local ATF office.• Destroy the firearm. For more information go to How to Properly Destroy Firearms | Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (atf.gov).
We do not have a manufacturing FFL license and will make no attempt to modify firearms nor process any NFA forms associated with achieving regulatory compliance as pertains to transfers.
PAYMENT
We accept Credit Card, Cash, and Bite the Bullet Gift Cards as payment. Note that Cash and Bite The Bullet Gift Cards must be transacted in-store only in order for us to place the order with our distributors using the shop registers. Any change to payment after a payment has been processed is subject to a 10% service charge for the entire purchase amount unless Bite the Bullet caused a payment processing error.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase please bring the item in or contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) request within 10 business days of the receipt of the product. The item must be returned unopened in the original box and packaging, we will exchange it, offer you store credit, or offer you a refund, less 20% restocking fee, based on your original method of payment. The product must be returned within 10 business days of the issuance of the RMA. All products must be packed in the original packaging, including any accessories, manuals, documentation and registration that shipped with the product. A 10% open box fee in addition to the 20% restocking fee (totaling 30%) will be assessed on any sealed product that is opened or removed from its original packaging.
All special order and online purchases shipped to Bite the Bullet must be picked up within 30-days or will be considered a return and subject to 20% restocking fee; unless alternate arrangements are made and agreed to by management. This includes not being able to successfully completing the ATF Form 4473.
Please note that we do not permit the return of the following products: 1. Special orders and products that are custom configured to your specifications. 2. Products sold “as is” or “used” or that have been installed or used after receipt. 3. NFA items that require ATF Transfer after the start of paperwork. 4. Illumination devices, electronic sights, optics and night vision equipment. 5. Ammunition sales are final.

NOTE: We recommend that you use a carrier that offers shipment tracking for all returns, and either insure your package for safe return or declare the full value of the shipment so that you are protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit. If you chose not to use a carrier that offers tracking and insure or declare the full value of the product, you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping.
The United States Postal Service (USPS) offers limited tracking capabilities and that there is a 30-calendar-day waiting period before USPS will initiate a trace. The customer is responsible for shipping charges both ways on returns, as well as for shipping charges on shipments that are refused.
IN STORE SPECIAL ORDERS
Special Orders placed in the store require 100% payment up front.
USED FIREARMS
The seller provides all descriptions for used items. All descriptions for used items are honest and based on actual items being offered for sale. Items being sold in this manner will be marked as such. All sales on used items are final. Photos will be provided when available. All machine guns are considered used unless otherwise noted.
GENERAL FIREARM SALES
All firearms, magazines, receivers and restricted law enforcement items are sold and shipped in accordance with all existing federal, state and local laws and regulations. Firearms will ONLY be shipped to licensed FFL dealers. Many of the firearms, magazines and parts for sale on this website may be restricted or prohibited in your area. Please check your local and state regulations before ordering.
All new firearms are shipped in the original manufacturer’s box, with magazine(s), accessories and applicable warranty. Please contact the original manufacturer for warranty information on all accessories and special order items.

CONSUMER DATA PRIVACY
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it.
The Credit Card Billing Information, Shipping Information, and Contact Information in our checkout process are required in order to process your order and deliver the product to you. We store some information for accounting reasons. Your information will not be shown to third parties not involved in the transaction, nor used to send you any unrequested information. The entire Checkout process is handled through a secure SSL-encrypted connection.
The Credit Card Billing Information is sent directly to our payment provider who processes your credit card transaction. The credit card information is neither recorded nor stored by us, and it can only be accessed by our payment provider. Each transaction has a very high level of security. Your credit card details are sent directly to the payment provider over a secure SSL-encrypted connection. They are not processed on our servers at any stage of the transaction, nor are they stored on our server.
SECURE TRANSMISSION
All information collected during the checkout process is transmitted via industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) featuring 128-bit encryption. A Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Certificate creates an encrypted link between a Web site and a visitor’s Web browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the Web site and the browser remains private and secure.
ORDER FULFILLMENT
All orders are shipped promptly from our warehouse or in-store inventory within 3 – 10 business days using UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Tracking numbers are available for items shipped via UPS and FedEx.
ONLINE PRICE & DESCRIPTION ERRORS
Our online inventory changes every day. Occasionally an item may appear on the site by mistake or the item’s description may contain a typographical error. We do not guarantee that titles, descriptions, pictures or prices on our site are error-free. We reserve the right to refuse any order including but not limited to orders for items with errors in the description or price. In the event that we cancel an order we will not charge the customer’s credit card or we will refund the money.
If an item’s description contains an error such as incorrect price and a customer makes the order, we will not process the order without first contacting the customer. If the order is mistakenly shipped, we may advise the customer to return the item in an unopened condition and we will refund the customer. By placing an order, the customer agrees that seller will be the final arbiter of discrepancies in the online catalog.
AMMUNITION PURCHASES
You must be 18 or older to purchase rifle or shotgun ammunition and 21 or older to purchase handgun ammunition. All ammunition will be shipped ground with adult signature required. Always make sure to use the correct ammunition for your specific firearms. Check your local laws for any other regulations.
TRANSFERS
Standard Transfers:We charge a receiving/background check fee of $30.00 per serialized item for standard non- NFA transfers.
It is the responsibility of the customer to have the FFL (Licensee) or Identification (Individual) provided to Bite the Bullet if it is not sent with the transfer firearm. If Bite the Bullet is required to obtain this for the customer, the transfer is subject to an additional $30 fee.
—EXAMPLE: 1 firearm= $30, 2 firearms= $60, 3 firearms= $90, and so forth.—
NFA Transfers: We ONLY provide NFA transfers for items purchased through our Silencer Shop Direct Dealer Program
FIREARM STORAGE CHARGES
We will hold your in-store, on-line, and transfer firearms at our shop until you can process your background check and take possession from our store. However, after two weeks if that this does not occur, we will charge a $10 per week storage fee to hold the firearm at our shop unless prior arrangements are agreed to by the shop regarding your situation. These exceptions to storage charges include, but are not limited to: delays processing an appeal of a Denial status on the background check, NFA items with submitted form awaiting ATF approval, repair work pending completion. Failure to reach this storage fee waiver agreement with the shop, either through lack of communication or negligence in reaching a confirmed agreement will result in full storage fees being assessed.
Abandoned items: Any item left at the shop subject to the $10 per week storage charge will be considered abandoned once the storage fees are equal to the assessed value of the item.
ADDITIONAL SHIPPING & HANDLING POLICIES
AMMUNITION sales are FINAL – Returns cannot be accepted for ammunition.
